MAAREE Partners with F.C. Como Women to Empower Female Athletes

At MAAREE, we’ve always been about pushing boundaries and empowering women to reach their full potential through innovative sportswear. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce our latest collaboration with F.C. Como Women.

This partnership not only brings together our sports bras with one of the most innovative teams in women's football but also strengthens our commitment to empowering women in sports.

The Origin of MAAREE

MAAREE was born from a personal mission: to provide women with a sports bra that truly delivers the support they deserve. Our founder, Mari, was once a performance tester for sports bras, and through her experience, she realised that many of the major brands missed one critical factor: breasts move in a figure of 8 motion, not just up and down.

Most sports bras focused on minimising downward motion, but they ignored the multi-directional reality of movement, leaving women with discomfort and inadequate support during activities. Determined to fill this gap, Mari began developing the Overband®, an innovative feature designed to control upward motion and provide the complete support women need during exercise.

"As I was running one day wearing a sports bra from one of the biggest brands, I hovered my hands above my chest and was mortified by the amount of bounce I was experiencing," Mari recalls. "I couldn’t believe this was considered acceptable support. I knew something had to change."

The Partnership with F.C. Como Women

F.C. Como Women are not your average women's football club. They are one of a small number of clubs which are separated from their male counterparts. Under the ownership of Mercury 13, the club is being built for women. Every element, every detail is evaluated with women at the centre of the conversion, from the players, the coaching staff, facilities, match day experience and beyond.

Our collaboration with F.C. Como Women is a perfect fit, both organisations share the same vision: empowering women in sports through innovation. Together, we aim to create more visibility for women's sports and inspire female athletes to lead active, confident lives.
